Organized by the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in New York and ICEX, the event brought together over 800 hospitality and trade professionals, who had the opportunity to explore each of the seven single-estate EVOOs in depth through guided tastings and dish samplings.
GPO President Francisco Vañó pointed out: “This first joint international activity highlights the benefits of the Association's synergy. GPO now boasts a long track record. We celebrated our 20th Anniversary this year, and our members' EVOOs are present in sixty international markets. However, we had never attended an international event together. This inaugural experience demonstrates, once again, the opportunities that arise when we join forces at key trade shows. While all of us already operate in the U.S. market, making our collective debut comes at a crucial moment for our exports to the country. It proves that the message behind our EVOOs—the estate (Pago) concept, its inherent uniqueness, and its excellence—resonates much more powerfully when communicated together under our Association seal."
