The seven Extra Virgin Olive Oils of Grandes Pagos de Olivar participated for the second year in a row in the gastronomic event Spain's Great Match, held in October at Mercado Little Spain in New York and organized by the Trade Commission of Spain in NY and ICEX. As a new feature this year, industry professionals and the general public were able to gain an in-depth understanding of the seven EVOOs through guided tastings led by oleologist Nicholas Coleman, as well as through informal tastings throughout the day.
Nicholas Coleman stated: “GPO's EVOOs were fantastically received by an audience that appreciated their wide variety in both sensory profile and geographic origin. "Some attendees were looking for oils from specific regions of Spain," noted the expert, "while others chose oils based on their intensity—delicate, medium, or robust—which Grandes Pagos de Olivar also offers. The guided tasting sessions sparked great interest among both chefs and food enthusiasts; some attendees even said it was their favorite part of the entire event! They were impressed by the phenomenal quality and the variety of aromas and flavors that Grandes Pagos de Olivar offers, and they also appreciated the visual beauty of the seven elegant bottles lined up."
